Armenia package prices from the UAE
Armenia is one of the shortest and lowest-cost trips with real mountains from the UAE. The price of a package comes down to four things: the number of nights, the hotel grade, shared group tours or a private car and driver, and the month you travel. The table shows starting prices per person, sharing a double room, with return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Group tours mean you share a minibus and guide with other travellers on a set route and start time. A private car means your own driver, so you leave when you are ready and stay longer where you like. For families with young children and groups of four or more, the private car often costs only a little more per person, because one vehicle is shared across everyone.
Prices follow the calendar. National Day, the December school break, New Year and Eid are the busiest weeks for flights to Yerevan, and fares rise early. Late spring and early autumn are usually quieter and better value. If your dates are flexible, look at the cheapest tour packages this month before you choose.
A package usually costs less than booking the same flight and hotel separately, and the transfers and day tours are already arranged when you land.
- Flight times: an afternoon arrival gives you an evening walk in Yerevan; a very early return flight saves a hotel night but makes the last day short
- Hotel location: a hotel near Republic Square or the Cascade means you walk to most restaurants
- Children's prices depend on age, the airline's child fare and the hotel's policy
02
What the Armenia package includes
A standard Armenia package covers the parts that are hardest to arrange from abroad: flights that land at a sensible hour, a central hotel, a driver and guide who know the mountain roads, and a plan for each day.
Checklist
- Hotel nights in the grade you choose, with daily breakfast
- Airport pickup and drop-off at Zvartnots
- Yerevan city tour: Republic Square, the Cascade, Mother Armenia and the Vernissage market
- Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery day trip
- Lake Sevan, Sevanavank and Dilijan day trip
- A day-by-day plan and a document checklist before you fly
Not included unless your quote says so:
- Armenia visa or e-visa fee, for the nationalities that need one
- Lunches and dinners
- Early check-in and late check-out
- Seat selection and meals on the flight
- Tips for the guide and driver, and personal spending
Armenia uses the dram. Cards are widely taken in Yerevan hotels, restaurants and malls. Carry some cash for village stalls, fruit sellers on the road to Garni, the market at Vernissage and small cafes at Lake Sevan.
Food: Armenian food leans on grilled meat, fresh bread, herbs, cheese and fruit, so it is easy to eat well. Tell us when you book and we add a list to your travel pack.
03
4-night itinerary: Yerevan, Garni, Geghard and Lake Sevan
This plan suits a first visit. You stay in one Yerevan hotel for all four nights, so there is no packing and unpacking, and every day trip is under two hours each way. The order can change with the weather or your flight times.

- 01
Day 1: Arrive in Yerevan
Pickup at Zvartnots airport and transfer to your hotel. Hotel check-in is usually from 14:00 or 15:00. In the evening, walk to Republic Square, where the fountains in front of the National Gallery are lit up after dark, then up to the Cascade, the giant stairway of terraces and sculptures with a view over the city.
- 02
Day 2: Yerevan city tour, Garni and Geghard
A morning tour of Yerevan: Republic Square, the Cascade, the Mother Armenia statue and the Vernissage open-air market. After lunch, drive east to the Charents Arch, a viewpoint for Mount Ararat on a clear day, then to Garni, a Greco-Roman temple on a cliff above a gorge. Continue to Geghard, a 13th-century monastery partly carved into the rock and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Back in Yerevan for dinner.
- 03
Day 3: Lake Sevan and Dilijan
Head north-east to Lake Sevan. Few lakes on earth sit this high and spread this wide. Climb the steps to Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula for the view over the water. Continue through the forests to Dilijan, often called the Switzerland of Armenia, for Sharambeyan Street, the old craftsmen's quarter, and a walk by Lake Parz if time allows. Return to Yerevan.
- 04
Day 4: Khor Virap and a free afternoon
A morning trip south to Khor Virap Monastery, which sits close to the Turkish border with Mount Ararat rising behind it. This is the classic Ararat view, clearest in the early morning. Back in Yerevan by lunchtime for shopping, a museum or a slow last dinner.
- 05
Day 5: Fly home
After breakfast, leave your room (most hotels want it back by 11:00 or 12:00). Your driver then runs you out to the airport, and you fly home to Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
For three nights, we combine the city tour with Garni and Geghard on day 2, do Lake Sevan on day 3 and fly home on day 4. For five nights, we add Tsaghkadzor or a day at Mount Aragats and the Armenian Alphabet Monument. Older travellers and families with small children often prefer to split day 2 in two, with the city tour on one day and Garni and Geghard on the next.
Free time in Yerevan? Good ways to fill it: the History Museum of Armenia on Republic Square, the Matenadaran manuscript museum, the Armenian Genocide Memorial at Tsitsernakaberd, the Opera House area for cafes, and the Dalma Garden and Yerevan malls for shopping. Most are a short taxi ride from the centre.
Getting around Yerevan on your own is easy.
04
Adding Dilijan, Tsaghkadzor or Georgia
Once you have seen Yerevan and its day trips, Armenia has three easy additions. Each one changes the feel of the trip, so choose by season and by who is travelling.

Tsaghkadzor, 1 to 2 nights
A small ski and mountain town about an hour from Yerevan. In winter, ski lessons, sledging and the ropeway up Mount Teghenis; in summer, cool air, forest walks and the same ropeway for the view.
Dilijan, overnight
Turn the Dilijan day trip into a night in the forest, with time for Lake Parz, Haghartsin Monastery and the craft street of old Dilijan. It suits couples and anyone who wants green hills and quiet evenings after the city.

Georgia, 3 to 4 nights
Cross the land border by road to Tbilisi, then add Mtskheta and the mountain road to Kazbegi. A common plan is 3 nights in Armenia and 4 in Georgia, flying into one and out of the other. See our Georgia tour package for the Georgian side.
We arrange the car and driver through to your Tbilisi hotel. Both countries' entry rules must be checked for every passport in your group.
Prefer a different short trip? A Kazakhstan tour package is a similar flight time and adds big mountain scenery and canyons, with snow at Shymbulak in winter.

Visa and entry rules for UAE residents
Armenia's entry rules depend on your nationality. Many UAE residents can enter visa-free or get a visa on arrival at Zvartnots airport, and others apply for an Armenia e-visa before they fly. The rules change from time to time, so we check every passport in your group before we book flights.

Armenia for families, couples and groups
Armenia works well for all three, because the sights are close together and you can come back to the same hotel every night.
Families like the short flight, the short drives and the open space. Children usually enjoy the ropeway at Tsaghkadzor, the steps and sculptures of the Cascade, feeding the birds at Lake Sevan and the fountains on Republic Square at night. Book a family room or two connecting rooms and choose a private car, so you can stop when someone needs a break. Keep the longest day, Lake Sevan and Dilijan, for when everyone has slept well. Families planning around school holidays can also look at our weekend trips from Dubai.
Couples tend to prefer a boutique hotel in central Yerevan, a night in Dilijan or Tsaghkadzor, and an early morning at Khor Virap for the Ararat view.

Groups of friends and company teams often travel on a fixed group departure, such as our National Day trip, or book a private minibus with their own guide.
Checklist
- Child seats: ask when you book, so the car comes fitted
- Pushchairs: fine in central Yerevan, hard at Geghard, Garni and Sevanavank, where there are steps and rough paths
- Modest clothing: women cover their heads in active churches; a scarf in your bag is enough
- Altitude: Lake Sevan sits at about 1,900 metres, so take the steps to the monastery slowly

When to go: winter in Tsaghkadzor or spring in Yerevan
Armenia has four clear seasons, which is much of its appeal from the UAE. Pick the month by what you want to see.

December to February
- What it is like
- Cold in Yerevan, snow in Tsaghkadzor and the mountains
- Good for
- Snow trips, skiing, National Day and the winter break
March

- Quieter, lower-priced city trips
April and May

- Mild days, blossom in Yerevan, green hills
- Good for
- Sightseeing, families, first-time visitors
June to August
- What it is like
- Hot and dry in Yerevan, cooler at Sevan and Dilijan
- Good for
- Summer holidays, lake and forest days
September and October

Armenia month by month, for travellers from the UAE

|---|---|---|
| December to February | Cold in Yerevan, snow in Tsaghkadzor and the mountains | Snow trips, skiing, National Day and the winter break |
| March | Cool, snow melting in the valleys, still white up high | Quieter, lower-priced city trips |

| November | Cool and often grey, first snow on the peaks | Value city breaks and National Day |
Winter is the reason many UAE families go. Non-skiers can ride the ropeway, sledge and walk in the snow. Yerevan itself is cold and dry in winter, and the Christmas and New Year lights on Republic Square are a good evening out.
Spring and autumn are the easiest seasons for sightseeing. Days are mild, the roads to Garni, Geghard and Lake Sevan are easy, and Mount Ararat is often clear in the morning. Summer is hot in Yerevan, often above 35 degrees, but Lake Sevan and Dilijan stay cooler, so plan the outdoor days around them.
Pack for the month. In winter: a warm waterproof jacket, gloves, a hat and boots with grip. In spring and autumn: layers and a light jacket for the evenings. In summer: light clothes, sun cream, and a fleece for Sevan. All year: comfortable walking shoes for monastery steps and a European two-pin power adapter.

Questions
Armenia trip questions
The questions UAE travellers ask us most about Armenia. Ask yours on WhatsApp at +971 54 525 6521 or call 02 679 8008.
Is there a cheap Armenia tour package from Dubai?
Yes. Travelling outside Eid, National Day and December keeps the price low.
Do UAE residents get an Armenia visa on arrival?
Carry your passport, UAE residence visa, hotel booking and return ticket. We check your passport before you book.
What are the Armenia travel requirements from the UAE?
Travel insurance is strongly advised. We send a checklist with every Armenia booking.
Are there cheap flights from Abu Dhabi to Armenia?
The flight is short, around three hours, which makes Armenia a good long-weekend trip. Package fares are often lower than booking flights and hotels separately.
How many days do I need in Armenia?
Four nights covers Yerevan, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Lake Sevan and Dilijan at a relaxed pace. Three nights works for a long weekend if you skip Dilijan. Add two or three nights in Tsaghkadzor for skiing in winter, or cross to Georgia for a longer trip.
Can I combine Armenia with Georgia?
A common plan is 3 nights in Armenia and 4 in Georgia, flying into one and out of the other. Both entry rules must be checked for your passport.
