A water villa, a private pool or peak dates change these a lot.

Three ways to spend on a honeymoon
| Budget level | Where it goes furthest | What it usually buys |
|---|---|---|
| Careful | Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka | 4-star hotels, breakfast, private transfers, a few shared tours, one special dinner |
| Middle | Bali, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Mauritius | A pool villa or sea-view room, private tours, half board at a beach resort |
| Splurge | Maldives, Switzerland, Paris and Italy | A water villa or suite, full board or all-inclusive, first-class trains or a seaplane |
- Wedding season: many UAE weddings fall between October and April, which is also peak season in the Maldives and Sri Lanka, so book early
- Eid and the school holidays raise fares to every destination on this page
- Spending on one special night, such as two nights in a water villa after three in a beach villa, keeps the budget sensible
- A longer trip on a lower room grade often feels better than a short trip in a suite
02
What our honeymoon packages include
A honeymoon package from us is a normal holiday package with the room, the transfers and the extras chosen for two. Here is what you get as standard, and what we ask the hotel for on your behalf.
Checklist
- Return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, economy as standard, with business class quoted on request
- Hotel nights in the room type you choose: sea view, pool villa, water villa or suite

- Breakfast daily, or half board and full board where the resort offers it
- The tours named in your itinerary, private where possible
- Travel insurance on most packages
- Visa help for each partner, based on your passports

| Beach villa | Maldives, Mauritius, Thailand | You want to walk straight onto the sand; often cheaper than a water villa |
| Water villa | Maldives | You want to swim from your deck; book two nights of it to save |
| Private pool villa | Bali, Thailand, Sri Lanka | You want privacy; good value in Bali compared with island resorts |

- We choose adults-focused or quieter resorts where they exist, so the pool is calm
- We avoid hotels next to nightlife streets unless you ask for them
- We look for rooms with a bath or an outdoor shower, a view and a large bed rather than twin beds
- We check how far the hotel is from the airport, so the first and last days are not lost in transfers
Requested extras. When we book, we tell the hotel you are on honeymoon and ask for what it offers couples.
- A room upgrade, subject to availability on arrival
- Honeymoon set-up: flowers on the bed, a cake or fruit plate in the room
- A couple's dinner on the beach or in the villa, sometimes included and sometimes at a discount
- A spa credit or a couple's treatment
- Late check-out on the last day
Not included unless your quote says so:
- Visa fees, and the Schengen visa appointment fee for Europe and Switzerland
- Tourist taxes paid locally, such as city taxes in Europe or the Bali levy
- Meals not named in the package, drinks and room service
- Optional experiences such as a balloon flight, a seaplane photo flight or a private yacht
- Tips, laundry and personal spending

Island honeymoons: Maldives, Bali and Sri Lanka
Beach honeymoons are the most common trip we plan for newly married couples. The three below are very different: the Maldives is one island and no plans; Bali is villas plus sightseeing; Sri Lanka is a road trip that ends on the beach.

Maldives, 3 to 5 nights
One resort island, reached by speedboat or seaplane. Water villas, snorkelling from your deck, sandbank picnics and dinners on the beach. About four hours from the UAE, so it suits short leave.
Explore maldives, 3 to 5 nights
Bali, 6 to 7 nights
A private pool villa in Ubud or Seminyak, rice terraces, temples, a sunset at Uluwatu and seafood on Jimbaran beach. Good value per night; the flight is long, with one stop.
Explore bali, 6 to 7 nights
Sri Lanka, 6 to 8 nights
Sigiriya, Kandy, the tea hills of Nuwara Eliya and Ella, then the south coast. A private car and driver-guide throughout. Our old Journey of Love route did exactly this in 5-star hotels.
Explore sri lanka, 6 to 8 nights
Thailand, 6 to 10 nights
Bangkok, then a pool villa in Phuket or Krabi and a private longtail to the islands. Our 10-night couples route adds a temple blessing for newly married couples and Chiang Mai.
Explore thailand, 6 to 10 nights
Mauritius, 4 to 6 nights
Large beach resorts, often on half board, with catamaran trips and waterfalls.

Two-country honeymoons work well when you have ten days or more. Singapore and Bali is the most common: two nights of city lights, gardens and shopping, then a pool villa in Bali, with the Singapore stop on the way. Bangkok and Phuket, or Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, follow the same idea at a lower price. We keep each trip to two bases where we can, because every hotel change costs half a day.
Two sample island plans. The first is the short trip most couples book after a winter wedding; the second follows our old Sri Lanka Journey of Love route, with a beach finish added.
- 01
Maldives, 4 nights: arrive and settle in
Land at Malé, meet the resort team and transfer by speedboat or seaplane. Afternoon on the beach, sunset from the jetty.
- 02
Maldives: lagoon and reef days
A sandbank picnic, snorkelling with turtles and reef fish, a sunset dolphin cruise and one private dinner on the sand. Move from a beach villa to a water villa for the last two nights if the budget allows.
- 03
Maldives: fly home
A slow breakfast, then the transfer back to Malé for the four-hour flight to the UAE.
- 04
Sri Lanka, 7 nights: Pinnawala and Kandy
From Colombo airport to Kandy with a stop at the Pinnawala elephant orphanage, then a Kandy city tour with the Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya.
- 05
Sri Lanka: Ambuluwawa and Nuwara Eliya
The spiral Ambuluwawa Tower for views over the hills, then up into the tea country at Nuwara Eliya, with a tea plantation and a strawberry farm.
- 06
Sri Lanka: the south coast and Colombo
Down to the coast for a Balapitiya river cruise through the mangroves and two or three nights at a beach resort, then a Colombo city tour before the flight home. A private car and English-speaking chauffeur guide throughout.
Our Maldives packages explain the difference between beach and water villas, meal plans and transfers. Our Bali packages include a 6-night pool-villa plan split between Ubud and the cliffs at Uluwatu.
04
City and mountain honeymoons: Switzerland, Europe and Turkey
Not every couple wants a beach. A summer wedding often means a cool-weather honeymoon, and Europe and Turkey pair romantic cities with mountains, lakes and good food. These trips need more planning, and for Europe a visa appointment, so start early.

Switzerland, 5 to 7 nights
Lucerne, Interlaken and a mountain train or cable car to the snow, even in summer. Lake-view rooms and scenic rail journeys between towns.
Explore switzerland, 5 to 7 nights
Paris and Switzerland, 7 to 8 nights
Three nights in Paris for the Eiffel Tower, a Seine cruise and dinner, then the Alps. One of our most requested routes in the summer.
Explore paris and switzerland, 7 to 8 nights
Italy, 6 to 8 nights
Rome, Florence and Venice by fast train, or the Swiss and Italian lakes together. A gondola in Venice and dinner in a Florence piazza.
Explore italy, 6 to 8 nights
Turkey, 6 to 7 nights
A Bosphorus-view hotel in Istanbul and a cave suite in Cappadocia, with a sunrise balloon flight. No Schengen visa, halal food everywhere and a short flight.
Explore turkey, 6 to 7 nights
Our Switzerland tour packages cover Lucerne, Interlaken and the mountain excursions, and our Turkey tour packages from the UAE cover Istanbul, Cappadocia and an Antalya beach finish. For the Schengen countries, each partner needs a Schengen visa, and appointments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai can take weeks in spring and summer, so apply as soon as the dates are fixed.
- 01
Paris, 3 nights
Arrive and settle in, then an evening Seine cruise. Next day the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre from outside or in, and Montmartre at sunset. A free day for the Champs-Élysées, a day trip to Versailles or a long lunch.
- 02
Train to Switzerland
A fast train from Paris to Basel or Zurich, then on to Lucerne. Check in to a lake-view room and walk the old wooden Chapel Bridge in the evening.
- 03
Lucerne and the mountains, 2 nights
A cable car or cogwheel train up Mount Titlis or Mount Pilatus for snow and views, and a boat on Lake Lucerne.
- 04
Interlaken, 2 nights
Between two lakes below the Jungfrau. A day up to the high mountains, a quiet afternoon by Lake Brienz, and paragliding for the brave. Fly home from Zurich.
- 01
Turkey, 6 nights: Istanbul, 4 nights
A hotel with a Bosphorus view, a dinner cruise between Europe and Asia, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, and a ferry to the Asian side for tea by the water.
- 02
Cappadocia, 2 nights
Fly to Kayseri or Nevşehir and check in to a cave suite. A sunrise balloon flight over the valleys, then the rock churches of Göreme and a quiet dinner in Ürgüp. Fly home via Istanbul.
- Switzerland in winter is snow and Christmas markets; in summer it is green valleys, lakes and long evenings
- Paris is lovely in late spring and early autumn; August is hot and many small restaurants close
- Cappadocia balloons fly year round when the wind allows; book the first morning so a cancelled flight can move
- Europe hotel rooms are smaller than in Asia, so we book a superior room or a view where the budget allows
05
Honeymoons on a budget: Georgia, Azerbaijan and Vietnam
Cheap honeymoon options from the UAE are mostly short flights with good hotels at fair prices. The Caucasus is three to four hours away, so you lose little leave in the air, and Vietnam gives a long, varied trip for less per night than an island resort.

Georgia, 4 to 6 nights
Tbilisi's old town and sulphur baths, the mountain road to Kazbegi and snow in Gudauri in winter.
Explore georgia, 4 to 6 nights
Azerbaijan, 3 to 5 nights
Baku's old city, the Flame Towers and the seafront boulevard, then the green hills of Gabala or the ski slopes of Shahdag.
Explore azerbaijan, 3 to 5 nights
Vietnam, 5 to 8 nights
Hanoi, a night on a Halong Bay cruise, then Hoi An's lantern-lit old town and the beach at Da Nang. Strong value for 4-star and 5-star hotels.
Explore vietnam, 5 to 8 nights
Armenia, 3 to 5 nights
Yerevan's cafes, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery and Lake Sevan. A quiet, low-cost trip with mountain views.
Explore armenia, 3 to 5 nights
Malaysia, 5 to 6 nights
Kuala Lumpur for the city, then a Langkawi beach resort, the cable car and the Sky Bridge. Halal food is easy everywhere.
Explore malaysia, 5 to 6 nights
- 01
Vietnam, 5 nights: Hanoi, 2 nights
The Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and the Temple of Literature, with an evening water puppet show. Street food on tiny stools is part of the fun.
- 02
Halong Bay, 1 night on a cruise
A boat among the limestone islands, a sampan ride through a fishing village, a cave visit and dinner on deck. Ask for a balcony cabin.
- 03
Da Nang and Hoi An, 2 nights
Fly to Da Nang. Ride the cable car up Ba Na Hills to the Golden Bridge held up by two giant stone hands, then spend an evening in Hoi An's old town when the lanterns come on. Fly home from Da Nang or via Hanoi.
Our Georgia tour package has 4 and 5-night plans with a night in the mountains, and our Vietnam tour package includes Hanoi, a Halong Bay cruise and Da Nang.
- 01
Georgia, day 1: Tbilisi old town
Arrive and check in to a boutique hotel in the old town. In the evening, the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for the view, and dinner on a terrace.
- 02
Day 2: Tbilisi and Mtskheta
The sulphur bath domes of Abanotubani, the Bridge of Peace and Rustaveli Avenue, then Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery above the meeting of two rivers.
- 03
Day 3: Kazbegi
The Georgian Military Road past Ananuri fortress and the Gudauri viewpoint to Kazbegi, and up to Gergeti Trinity Church below the snow peaks. A night in a mountain hotel with a view makes this the special night of the trip.
- 04
Day 4: Back to Tbilisi, or Sighnaghi
Return to Tbilisi for shopping and a farewell dinner, or add a night in Sighnaghi, a hill town with walls and views over the Alazani valley.
- 05
Day 5: Fly home
Transfer to Tbilisi airport for the short flight back to Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
Checklist
- Fly midweek where you can; weekend departures often cost more
- Avoid Eid and the school holidays if your wedding date allows
- Choose one special room for two nights rather than an upgrade for the whole stay
- Take breakfast-only plans in cities, where eating out is part of the fun
- Book private transfers but shared day tours where privacy matters less
06
Choosing by month: weather and wedding season
The right honeymoon depends on your wedding month as much as your taste. A winter wedding points to the islands of the Indian Ocean and South-East Asia; a summer wedding points to the Caucasus, Europe and Bali. The grid below shows where the weather is usually on your side.

November and December
- Good choices
- Maldives, Sri Lanka west and south coast, Thailand's Andaman coast, Mauritius
- Think twice about
- Bali (rains starting), Switzerland unless you want snow
January and February
- Good choices
- Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam's north and centre (cool), Switzerland for snow
- Think twice about
- Georgia and Armenia (cold and short days)
March and April
- Good choices
- Maldives, Thailand, Turkey (spring), Bali (dry season begins in April)
- Think twice about
- Peak Easter dates in Europe
May and June
- Good choices
- Bali, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Europe, Switzerland
- Think twice about
- Maldives and Sri Lanka's south-west (monsoon starts)
July and August
- Good choices
- Bali, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Europe, Sri Lanka's east coast
- Think twice about
- Southern Europe heat; school holiday prices everywhere
September and October
- Good choices
- Bali, Turkey, Georgia, Europe, Switzerland, Mauritius
- Think twice about
- Vietnam's centre (rainy season), Thailand's islands (wettest weeks)
Honeymoon destinations by month, for couples flying from the UAE
| Wedding month | Good choices | Think twice about |
|---|---|---|
| November and December | Maldives, Sri Lanka west and south coast, Thailand's Andaman coast, Mauritius | Bali (rains starting), Switzerland unless you want snow |
| January and February | Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam's north and centre (cool), Switzerland for snow | Georgia and Armenia (cold and short days) |
| March and April | Maldives, Thailand, Turkey (spring), Bali (dry season begins in April) | Peak Easter dates in Europe |
| May and June | Bali, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Europe, Switzerland | Maldives and Sri Lanka's south-west (monsoon starts) |
| July and August | Bali, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Europe, Sri Lanka's east coast | Southern Europe heat; school holiday prices everywhere |
| September and October | Bali, Turkey, Georgia, Europe, Switzerland, Mauritius | Vietnam's centre (rainy season), Thailand's islands (wettest weeks) |
Wedding season in the UAE runs mostly from October to April, when the weather here is cooler. That overlaps with the peak months in the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand, so rooms and flights there go early. If your wedding is in December or around New Year, book three to four months ahead; for the Maldives over Christmas, earlier still. A summer wedding has more choice in the Caucasus and Europe, but needs the Schengen appointment in good time.
3 to 4
- Fits well
- Maldives, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia
- Why
- Flights of three to four hours, so little time is lost
5 to 6
- Fits well
- Sri Lanka, Turkey, Thailand, Mauritius, Malaysia
- Why
- Room for two bases without rushing
7 to 8
- Fits well
- Bali, Vietnam, Switzerland, Paris and Switzerland
- Why
- Longer flights or several stops need the extra days
10 or more
- Fits well
- Two countries: Singapore and Bali, Thailand and the Maldives, Switzerland and Italy
- Why
- A once-in-a-lifetime trip with a city and a beach
How many nights you have, and where fits
| Nights | Fits well | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 3 to 4 | Maldives, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia | Flights of three to four hours, so little time is lost |
| 5 to 6 | Sri Lanka, Turkey, Thailand, Mauritius, Malaysia | Room for two bases without rushing |
| 7 to 8 | Bali, Vietnam, Switzerland, Paris and Switzerland | Longer flights or several stops need the extra days |
| 10 or more | Two countries: Singapore and Bali, Thailand and the Maldives, Switzerland and Italy | A once-in-a-lifetime trip with a city and a beach |
- Shoulder months, such as April in the Maldives or May and October in Bali, often bring lower room rates with mostly good weather
- Rainy-season trips can still work: tropical rain usually comes in short, heavy bursts, and resorts are quieter
- Snow honeymoons in Switzerland or Gudauri suit December to March; check that mountain lifts are open
- For Europe, late May, June and September give long days without the August crowds

Checklist
- Both passports must stay valid for six months or more after the date you come back
- Marriage certificate, attested, with a translation where needed
- Visa approvals for each partner; nationalities can differ, so rules can too
- Schengen visa for Europe and Switzerland: salary certificate, bank statements, flight and hotel bookings and insurance for each applicant
- Matching names on tickets and passports; if a name has changed, book in the name on the passport you will travel with
- Travel insurance for both, covering medical costs and cancellation
- Copies of everything on both phones and in one shared folder, in case a bag or a phone goes missing
- 01
Schengen for couples: book the appointment
As soon as the dates are fixed, we book a visa centre appointment for both of you on the same day, with the country where you spend the most nights.
- 02
Prepare one file each
Each partner applies separately: passport, residence visa, salary certificate or trade licence, six months of bank statements, the flight and hotel bookings and travel insurance. A partner without income adds the marriage certificate and the sponsor's documents.
- 03
Attend together
Fingerprints and photos at the visa centre in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Bring originals and copies.
- 04
Wait for the decision
We hold refundable bookings where we can until the visas are issued.
A wedding often means paperwork changes at the same time as travel. If one of you is getting a new passport or moving to the other's sponsorship, tell us the dates and we plan the trip around them. For Europe, we prepare the Schengen file for both partners together. We also offer travel insurance for your trip, which most Schengen applications require.
08

Tell us the basics
WhatsApp your wedding date, how many nights you have, your budget per couple and the kind of trip you like: beach, city, mountains or a mix. Add both passport nationalities.

We shortlist two or three trips
A consultant compares destinations for your month, checks visas for both of you and sends two or three options with room photos, flight times and prices.
- 03
Hold and adjust
Change rooms, add a night or swap a destination.
- 04
Confirm and pay
Confirm to book the flights and rooms.
- 05
Visas and travel pack
We handle the visa files, then send e-tickets, vouchers, transfer details and an emergency contact before you fly.
- Things couples often forget: a buffer of a day or two between the wedding and the flight
- Seat selection together on long flights; some fares charge for it
- Dress codes: mosques in Turkey and temples in Bali, Thailand and Sri Lanka ask for covered shoulders and knees
- Halal meals: ask us to request them from the airline and the resort
- Power adaptors: Europe, Switzerland and Bali use different plugs from the UAE
- Cash for tips and small purchases in the local currency
Checklist
- Wedding date, and the first and last dates you could fly
- Both passport nationalities and copies of both passports
- Both UAE residence visas, or the date a sponsorship change will be complete
- A rough budget per couple, including or excluding flights
- Beach, city, mountains or a mix, and any place you have already been
- Any must-haves: a water villa, a private pool, halal meals, an Arabic-speaking guide
We have been open since 20 May 2020 and are rated 4.6 on Google from about 280 reviews. We take cards and NFC mobile payments. For trips that are not honeymoons, see all our holiday packages from Abu Dhabi.
