Thailand package prices from the UAE
Thailand is one of the easiest long-haul trips from the UAE. Flights to Bangkok take about six hours, hotels cost less than in Europe for the same grade, and one trip can mix a big city with an island. The price depends on the route, the hotel grade, the month and whether you fly into one city and out of another. Every price below is per person, sharing a double room, with return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

What moves the price most: the UAE school holidays, Eid and the weeks around Christmas and New Year, when flights to Bangkok and Phuket fill and island hotels charge peak rates. A 5-star hotel or a beach villa in Phuket adds more than an extra night in a 4-star. Private tours cost more than shared ones, but for a family of four the gap per person is often small. If your dates are open, compare the cheapest tour packages this month before you choose.
- Shared or private: the Bangkok and Pattaya route runs on shared coach transfers and tours; island trips use shared big boats unless you ask for a private longtail
- Hotel area: Sukhumvit and Silom suit shopping and the BTS Skytrain; the riverside suits temples and quieter evenings
- Island base: Patong in Phuket is busy and central; Kata, Karon and Kamala are calmer; Ao Nang in Krabi is the base for the Four Islands boats
- Children's prices depend on age, the airline's child fare and each hotel's extra bed policy

What the Thailand package includes
Our Thailand packages bundle the parts that are awkward to book from the UAE: the international flight, the domestic hop to the islands, the airport pickups and the boat tours. Recent packages on our site have included the following:
Checklist
- Hotels in your chosen grade with daily breakfast, for example the Ramada by Wyndham D'MA in Bangkok, Centara in Pattaya, Holiday Inn Resort in Phuket or Ava Sea Resort in Krabi, or similar
- Airport transfers in Thailand, and the transfer between Bangkok and Pattaya by road
- A half-day Bangkok temple tour: the Golden Buddha at Wat Traimit and the Marble Temple, Wat Benchamabophit
- One island tour: Coral Island from Pattaya, Phi Phi by big boat from Phuket, or the Four Islands by longtail from Krabi
- Travel insurance on most packages
Not included unless your quote says so:

- Thailand visa or e-visa fees, where your passport needs one
- Lunches and dinners not named in the itinerary; the Coral Island tour is sold without lunch
- Optional shows and tours such as the Alcazar cabaret in Pattaya, Safari World or the floating market
- Early check-in, late check-out, seat selection and meals on low-cost flights
- Tips for guides and drivers, and personal spending
Thailand uses the baht. Cards work in malls and most hotels, but carry cash for street food, markets, tuk-tuks and boat piers. Money changers in Bangkok usually give better rates than airport counters.

5-day Bangkok and Pattaya itinerary
This is the classic first trip and the one most UAE residents book for a long weekend. You land at Suvarnabhumi and go straight to the beach town of Pattaya, about two hours by road, then finish in Bangkok close to the airport for the flight home.

- 01
Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok, transfer to Pattaya
Our representative meets you at Suvarnabhumi Airport for the road transfer to your Pattaya hotel. The evening is free.
- 02
Day 2: Coral Island
A speedboat to Koh Larn, known as Coral Island, a short ride from Pattaya's pier. Swim, sit on the beach, or pay locally for a glass-bottom boat, parasailing or a banana boat ride. Lunch on the island is at your own cost. Back to Pattaya by late afternoon.
- 03
Day 3: Pattaya to Bangkok, temple tour
Check out and drive to Bangkok, stopping at the Gems Gallery. In the city, visit Wat Traimit, home of a solid gold Buddha about three metres tall and over five tonnes, and the Marble Temple, Wat Benchamabophit, built of Italian marble in the Dusit district. Check in to your Bangkok hotel.
- 04
Day 4: Free day in Bangkok
Shop at Siam Paragon, CentralWorld or the MBK Centre, or book a half-day at Safari World, the Damnoen Saduak floating market or Madame Tussauds. In the evening, walk Yaowarat Road in Chinatown for street food, or take a Chao Phraya river cruise.
- 05
Day 5: Fly home
After breakfast you check out. A driver then runs you out to the airport, and you fly home to Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
With an extra night, we add the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, the temple of the Reclining Buddha, with a longtail boat ride on the river and a stop at Wat Arun. Families often swap the free day for Safari World and Marine Park, which takes most of a day with the drive.
04
7-day Bangkok, Phuket and Phi Phi itinerary
A week lets you do the city and the Andaman Sea properly. For Krabi instead of Phuket, the same plan works with Krabi airport.

- 01
Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok
Airport pickup and check-in. A short first evening: a rooftop view, a walk around your hotel area or a river dinner cruise.
- 02
Day 2: Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun
The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho and its reclining Buddha, then a longtail boat along the Chao Phraya to Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, with its tall riverside tower.
- 03
Day 3: Free day in Bangkok
Shopping, a floating market morning, or Chinatown and the flower market. Couples often book a Thai cooking class.
- 04
Day 4: Fly to Phuket
Morning flight to Phuket and transfer to your beach hotel. In the afternoon, a Phuket city tour can take in Wat Chalong, the Big Buddha and the Promthep Cape viewpoint at sunset.
- 05
Day 5: Phi Phi island tour
A full day by big boat to the Phi Phi Islands: snorkelling around Bamboo Island and the bays of Phi Phi Leh, including Maya Bay, the beach from the film The Beach.
- 06
Day 6: Free day in Phuket
Rest on Kata or Karon beach, or add a second boat trip to James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay. Evenings in Patong or the old town.
- 07
Day 7: Fly home from Phuket
Transfer to Phuket Airport for your flight to Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
Island day trips from Phuket, Krabi and Pattaya. Each is a full or half day by boat, priced per person, and depends on the weather on the day.
Phi Phi Islands
From Phuket or Krabi by big boat or speedboat. Bamboo Island for snorkelling, the lagoons of Phi Phi Leh and Maya Bay.
James Bond Island
Phang Nga Bay, north-east of Phuket. Sea canoeing through caves under the limestone islands and a stop at Khao Phing Kan, the rock from the 1974 film.
Coral Island
Koh Larn, a short boat ride from Pattaya. Calm beaches, water sports paid on the island, and a seafood lunch at your own cost. Included in our Bangkok and Pattaya package.

Krabi Four Islands
By longtail from Ao Nang to Koh Poda, Koh Tup, Koh Mor and Chicken Island, where a sandbar joins the islands at low tide. Included in our Krabi packages.

Thailand for couples, families and groups
The same country works for very different trips. What changes is the hotel, the pace and how much is private.

- 01
Couples and honeymoons
A pool villa in Phuket or Krabi, a private longtail to the islands and a sunset dinner. Our 10-night couples route adds a blessing ceremony for newly married couples at a royal temple in Bangkok, the Golden Triangle and Chiang Mai. More ideas on our honeymoon packages page.
- 02
Families
Bangkok's malls, Safari World and the aquarium at Siam Paragon, then a calm beach on Kata or in Ao Nang. Family rooms book out early in the summer holidays. Kids' and family discounts apply where the hotel and airline allow.
- 03
Groups of friends and office trips
One itinerary, shared transfers and group hotel rates, with a WhatsApp group for updates. Pattaya and Phuket suit groups who want evenings out; Krabi suits groups who want boats and beaches.
A few practical points. Temples ask for covered shoulders and knees, for men and women. Tap water is not for drinking; hotels provide bottled water. Grab works well in Bangkok and Phuket for short rides. Mosques with prayer facilities are found across Bangkok and the south.

When to go: dry season and monsoon by region
Thailand has two coasts with different weather, so the right island depends on your month. The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi) is dry from about November to April and has the south-west monsoon from about May to October, with rougher seas. The Gulf of Thailand (Pattaya, Koh Samui) gets its heaviest rain later, around October to December. Bangkok is hottest from March to May and rainy from June to October.

November to February
- Bangkok
- Cooler and dry, the most comfortable
- Andaman coast: Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi
- Dry, calm sea, peak season
- Gulf coast: Pattaya, Koh Samui
- Pattaya dry; Koh Samui wet into December
March to May
- Bangkok
- Hot, up to the high 30s °C
- Andaman coast: Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi
- Hot and mostly dry, good for diving
- Gulf coast: Pattaya, Koh Samui
- Hot and dry
June to August
- Bangkok
- Showers most afternoons
- Andaman coast: Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi
- Monsoon; some boat trips cancelled in rough seas
- Gulf coast: Pattaya, Koh Samui
- Often drier than Phuket
September to October
- Bangkok
- Wettest months
- Andaman coast: Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi
- Wettest months; lowest hotel rates
- Gulf coast: Pattaya, Koh Samui
- Rain increasing

The UAE summer break falls in the Andaman monsoon. It is still a good trip: rain often comes in short bursts, hotels are cheaper and the islands are quieter. We plan the island day for early in your stay so it can move if the sea is rough. For a long dry-season trip, pair Thailand with our Sri Lanka holiday packages or a temple trip with our cambodia tour package.

Questions
Thailand trip questions
The questions UAE travellers ask us most about Thailand. For anything else, WhatsApp us, call 02 679 8008 or visit our travel agency in Abu Dhabi at Mushrif Mall.
How much is a 7 days Thailand tour package?
Krabi, 5-star hotels or a domestic flight instead of a road transfer change the price.
How much is a 5 days Thailand tour package?
It suits a long weekend or a first visit. Adding an island means at least a 6-day trip because of the domestic flight.
Do UAE residents get a visa on arrival in Thailand?
Some travellers need an e-visa before flying. We check your passport and arrange the e-visa if needed.
How much does a 7 day Thailand trip cost for a couple?
A beach villa or a 5-star resort in Phuket raises the total. Couples often add a Thai cooking class or a private longtail boat.
Are there cheap flights from Abu Dhabi to Thailand?
Flying into Bangkok and out of Phuket avoids backtracking.
Can you arrange a group tour to Thailand?
Yes. We arrange Thailand group trips for friends, families and office teams, with one itinerary, shared transfers and group hotel rates. Groups get a single quote and a WhatsApp group for updates.
