Is the UAE visit visa open for Pakistanis today?
This is the question we hear most from Pakistani families in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and the honest answer changes. There have also been long stretches when they went through normally.
So we never quote from memory. Send us your visitor's passport and CNIC first. We look at the current position for their passport and visa type, and only then ask you to pay. If we expect a delay or a refusal risk, we say so in writing before the government fee is spent.

For parents and a spouse, a family visit visa sponsored by you is usually the strongest route, because immigration can see who is responsible for the visitor. Brothers, cousins and friends usually come on a tourist visa. If your visitor plans an Umrah trip or a few days in Oman during the stay, choose multiple entry.

The government fee is the same for every nationality on the same visa. Pakistani applications can carry extra lines, such as a refundable deposit, insurance or the cost of a return ticket and hotel booking, and we show each one separately on your quote before you pay.

Processing time and what slows it down
Some go to an extra security check, which can add days and is outside our control. Apply at least three weeks before the flight, and earlier before Eid and the summer school holidays, when both visa queues and fares rise.

The other side matters too. Your visitor should carry the printed visa, the return ticket, your Emirates ID copy and your phone number.

Common reasons Pakistani applications are refused
- An unclear passport or CNIC copy, or a cropped photo
- A name or father's name that does not match across passport, CNIC and family papers
- A tourist visa for someone whose profile suggests they are coming to look for work
- A visa type that does not fit the visitor, such as a family visa for a cousin
- Several applications for the same person in a short time, through different agents
A full check before applying avoids most of these. If a visa has been refused before, do not apply again straight away through another agent. Send us the refusal message and the old application details, and we tell you whether a new application is worth the fee.

Move to a work or residence visa
If an employer offers a job, the employer applies for the work permit; the visitor does not work on a visit visa.
