Does an Indian need a visa for the UAE? Status today
Yes. An Indian passport holder needs a UAE visa before boarding, unless they are one of the smaller group who qualify for a visa on arrival (see the next section). That covers most of the people our Indian customers bring over: parents coming for the birth of a grandchild, a mother staying through the cooler months, a spouse and children joining before a residence visa is ready, a brother visiting for a wedding, or friends on a short Dubai and Abu Dhabi holiday.

Visa on arrival: which Indian passport holders qualify
The UAE gives a visa on arrival to Indian ordinary passport holders who already hold certain visas or residence permits from other countries. If your visitor has one of these, they may not need us at all. If they do not, or if the document is close to expiry, apply for a normal visit visa so there is no argument at the airport.

Choose multiple entry if the visitor will leave and come back during the visa, for example a weekend in Oman, an Umrah trip or a short return to India for a family event. Otherwise single entry costs less. We suggest the shortest visa that covers the dates, with a few days spare in case a return flight moves.

Documents from India and from the sponsor in the UAE
Indian passports carry the holder's address and family names on the last page, so we ask for that page as well as the photo page. Send clear colour scans or phone photos on WhatsApp, with no fingers or shadows over the text.

Fees for Indian citizens: government fee and our service fee
Indian visitors pay the same government fee as other nationalities for the same visa. The total you pay is that fee plus our service fee, and any insurance or deposit the visa needs, each shown as its own line before you pay.

How long it takes

Send the papers
Passport pages, photo and your sponsor documents on WhatsApp, or bring them to Mushrif Mall.

We apply
We submit on the official system and pay the government fee once you approve the quote.

Visa by WhatsApp
We send the visa as a PDF to you and your visitor. They print it and carry it with the passport and return ticket.
Apply at least two weeks before the flight, and earlier for the busy months: the UAE winter from October to March, when many parents come to stay, and the weeks around Onam, Diwali, Christmas and Eid.

Flights from India that match the visa dates
The visa and the ticket must agree. The arrival date has to fall inside the visa's entry window, and the return has to be before the stay runs out, counted from the day of landing. We book both together when you ask, so a 60 day visa never sits next to a ticket for day 62.

Elderly parents travelling alone can ask for wheelchair help at both ends, which we request when we ticket. Compare fares and airports on our page for flights between Abu Dhabi and India, and add travel insurance for visiting parents so a hospital visit during the stay does not become a large bill.

Why Indian applications get delayed, and how we avoid it
- A name written differently across the passport, birth certificate and marriage certificate, often because of initials
- The last page of the passport missing, or a passport with less than six months left
- Relationship certificates that are not attested, or a sponsor salary below the line for that relationship
- A blurred photo, or a photo with a coloured background
We check each of these before we submit. If your visitor has had a UAE visa refused before, tell us at the start and send the old visa or refusal message, so we can see what happened. How much is the UAE visit visa for Indian citizens?
A 60 day visa costs more than a 30 day one, and insurance appears as its own line when it is needed.
Can Indians get a UAE visa on arrival?
Some can. Everyone else needs a visit visa issued before the flight, which we apply for.
What documents does my parent in India need for a UAE visit visa?
A clear copy of the passport with at least six months validity and a photo on a white background. We check every page before we apply.
Can my parents extend their visit visa without going back to India?
Often yes. Start at least a week before the expiry date so there is no overstay fine.
My mother's passport has only a first name. Is that a problem?
It can be. Send us the photo page and the last page and we tell you before you pay whether it needs any change.
