Bali package prices from the UAE

Bali is a long trip from the UAE, so the price is mostly the flight plus the type of room you choose. Hotels on the island are good value for the grade, and a private pool villa costs far less than a water villa in the Maldives. The table shows starting prices per person, sharing, with return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, breakfast, airport transfers and the tours in each itinerary.

What moves the price most: July and August, Christmas and New Year, and the UAE school holidays and Eid, when flights to Denpasar fill and villas charge peak rates. A villa with its own pool adds more to the bill than an extra night in a hotel. Private touring with your own driver costs a little more than shared tours but saves hours, because you leave when you are ready. If your dates are flexible, check the cheapest tour packages this month first.

  • Shared or private: our 4-night group departures use shared tours; most couples and families choose a private car and driver-guide
  • Hotel areas: Ubud for green views and calm; Seminyak for restaurants and sunsets; Kuta for value; Nusa Dua for big resorts and calm water; Uluwatu and Jimbaran for cliffs and seafood
  • Children's prices depend on age, the airline's child fare and each hotel's extra bed policy

Bali price and weather by month, for travellers from the UAE

Is Bali cheaper than a holiday in Dubai? Once you are there, often yes: meals, spa treatments and drivers cost less than at home. The flight is the big cost, which is why a package with the flight built in usually works out lower than booking each part alone.

02

What the Bali package includes

A Bali package from us covers the flight, the rooms, the airport pickups and the tours that are hard to arrange on the island. Recent Bali packages on our site have included:

Checklist

  • Hotels or villas in your chosen grade with daily breakfast, such as the Ramayana Suites and Resort in Kuta or The Seminyak Suites private villas, or similar
  • Arrival and departure transfers at Ngurah Rai International Airport
  • A full-day Kintamani tour: Tegenungan waterfall, the Bali Swing, the Mount Batur viewpoint, a coffee plantation and the Ubud Monkey Forest
  • A Bedugul and Tanah Lot day: Handara Gate, Ulun Danu Beratan temple on its lake and Tanah Lot at sunset
  • Entrance fees for the sights named in the itinerary
  • A professional guide and bottled water on tour days
  • Travel insurance on most packages

Not included unless your quote says so:

Hillside lodge in Kintamani looking across the mist to Mount Batur at sunrise
  • Indonesia visa on arrival or e-VOA fee, where your passport needs one
  • Lunches and dinners not named in the itinerary
  • Seat selection and meals on low-cost connecting flights
  • Tips for guides and drivers, spa treatments and personal spending

Halal food: Bali is mainly Hindu, so pork is common on menus. Tell us when you book and we brief your guide to choose halal lunch stops on tour days.

Bali uses the Indonesian rupiah. Cards work in hotels, malls and most restaurants in Seminyak and Ubud, but carry cash for temple sarongs, small warungs, parking and tips. Use authorised money changers with a shop front, not street booths.

03

5 days and 4 nights: Ubud and Seminyak

Five days is the shortest Bali trip we suggest from the UAE, because the journey takes most of a day each way. The plan keeps driving low: Ubud first for culture and green views, then the south coast close to the airport for the last two nights.

Ubud Water Palace temple gate behind a stone path through lotus ponds
  1. 01

Day 1: Arrive in Bali, drive to Ubud

Our representative meets you at Ngurah Rai International Airport for the drive inland to Ubud, about an hour and a half depending on traffic. Check in and rest. In the evening, walk Ubud's main street, the palace and the art market.

  2. 02

Day 2: Kintamani and the Ubud area

A full day: Tegenungan waterfall, the Bali Swing above the jungle, Tegallalang rice terraces, Tirta Empul water temple, then up to Kintamani for the view of Mount Batur and its crater lake, with a coffee plantation stop. Back via the Ubud Monkey Forest.

  3. 03

Day 3: Move to Seminyak via Tanah Lot

Check out and drive west to the highlands at Bedugul: the split Handara Gate and Ulun Danu Beratan temple on its lake. Continue to Tanah Lot for the sea temple at sunset, then to your Seminyak hotel.

  4. 04

    Day 5: Fly home

After breakfast you check out, and a driver takes you to the airport for your flight home. From Seminyak the drive is about 30 to 45 minutes.

Our 4-night group packages follow a similar plan with all four nights in Kuta, which saves a hotel change; the trade-off is a longer drive to Ubud on day two. If you want a quieter trip with one base, choose Ubud for all nights and keep the beach to one afternoon in Sanur.

How we split the nights in Bali

04

7-night Bali itinerary with Nusa Penida

A week is the length most of our Bali travellers choose. It gives three areas time to breathe: Ubud inland, the south coast at Seminyak or Uluwatu, and a day on the islands off the east coast. We group the days by area so you spend more time at the sights and less in the car.

Dark lava fields below the cone of Mount Batur in Bali's highlands
  1. 01

Day 1: Arrive, drive to Ubud

Airport pickup and the drive to Ubud. Dinner near your hotel; many Ubud hotels look over rice fields or the river valley.

  2. 02

    Day 2: Ubud highlights

Tegallalang rice terraces in the morning light, Tirta Empul water temple, the Bali Swing and the Ubud Monkey Forest. Free evening in the town.

  3. 03

Day 3: Mount Batur or a slow Ubud day

For everyone else, the Kintamani viewpoint by car, a coffee plantation, Tegenungan waterfall, and a cooking class or spa in the afternoon.

  4. 04

Day 4: Bedugul, Handara Gate and Tanah Lot

Check out of Ubud. Drive to Wanagiri for the twin lake view, Handara Gate and Ulun Danu Beratan temple, then Tanah Lot at sunset. Check in on the south coast in Seminyak or Uluwatu.

  5. 05

Day 5: Nusa Penida day trip

Early pickup for the fast boat from Sanur to Nusa Penida. A driver takes you to Kelingking beach viewpoint, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong and Crystal Bay.

  6. 06

    Day 6: Uluwatu and Jimbaran

A slow morning by the pool, then Uluwatu temple on its cliff at sunset with the Kecak dance, followed by a seafood dinner on the sand at Jimbaran.

  7. 07

Day 7: Free day or a sunset cruise

Beach and shopping in Seminyak, or a sunset dinner cruise from Benoa harbour. Families often choose Bali Safari and Marine Park or water sports at Tanjung Benoa.

  8. 08

    Day 8: Fly home

Drive to the airport and fly home to Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Not keen on a long boat day? Swap Nusa Penida for a Lembongan island cruise, which is calmer and includes lunch and snorkelling, or simply add a night in Ubud. For a 6-night trip, we drop day 7. For 9 or 10 nights, we add a quiet coastal stay in Sanur or Nusa Dua at the end.

  • Ride-hailing apps work in towns, but some areas limit pickups, so a pre-booked driver is more reliable for day trips
  • We do not advise renting a scooter: roads are busy and many travel insurance policies exclude scooter accidents
  • Plan one main area per day; Ubud to Uluwatu can take two hours or more in traffic
  • Temples ask visitors to wear a sarong and sash; most lend or rent them at the gate

05

Bali tour places worth your time

Bali's sights are spread across the island and traffic is slow, so where you stay decides how far you drive.

  • Long-tailed macaque sitting on moss-covered stone monkey statues in the Ubud Monkey Forest

    Ubud Monkey Forest

About 1 hour 15 minutes. Jungle paths and old temples with hundreds of macaques. Keep sunglasses and phones in your bag.

  • Aerial view of Tanah Lot temple on its rock with waves breaking around it

    Tanah Lot

About 45 minutes. The sea temple on a rock, reached on foot at low tide. Go for sunset, when it is busiest and most photogenic.

  • Carved stone gateway at Uluwatu temple under a blue sky

    Uluwatu temple

    About 1 hour.

  • Mount Batur and the still water of Lake Batur under a blue sky

    Mount Batur and Kintamani

About 2 hours. An active volcano and its crater lake, seen from the Kintamani ridge. Cooler air; bring a light jacket.

  • Handara Gate, a tall carved Balinese split gate with forested mountains behind

    Handara Gate and Ulun Danu

About 2 hours. The split gate at Bedugul and the lake temple of Ulun Danu Beratan. Pair with Tanah Lot on the way back.

  • Tegallalang and Tirta Empul

About 1 hour 30 minutes. Stepped rice terraces north of Ubud and a water temple where Balinese bathe under carved spouts. Sarongs are lent at the gate.

  • Nusa Penida

Kelingking beach, Broken Beach and Crystal Bay. A full, tiring day; not ideal for small children.

  • Tiger walking across a grassy enclosure beside rocks and a waterfall at the Bali Safari and Marine Park

    Bali Safari and Marine Park

About 1 hour. Animal shows and a safari tram ride; a good family day. Included on some of our longer packages.

  • Yellow cruise boat on the water off Bali under a pink and orange sunset sky

    Sunset dinner cruise

About 30 minutes to Benoa harbour. Dinner on board as the sun goes down.

Bali areas at a glance

Two places are worth one line each. Tegenungan waterfall is an easy stop between the airport and Ubud, with steps down to a wide pool. Jimbaran Bay is where locals and visitors eat grilled seafood at tables on the sand at sunset, a short drive from Uluwatu and the airport.

06

Bali for couples and honeymoons

Bali is one of the most booked honeymoon trips from the UAE because it gives couples privacy and things to do. A private pool villa in Seminyak or Ubud costs a fraction of a Maldives water villa, and the island adds temples, waterfalls and sunsets to the beach days.

Checklist

  • A private pool villa for at least part of the stay; Ubud villas look over jungle or rice fields, Seminyak villas are walking distance from restaurants
  • A sunset dinner at Jimbaran or on a cruise, or a private candlelit dinner at the villa
  • A couples' spa treatment; Balinese massage is part of most resort menus
  • Your own car and driver, so the day starts when you are ready
Traveller in a straw hat looking out at Mount Batur from a grassy Kintamani viewpoint
  1. 01

Nights 1 to 3: a pool villa in Ubud

Slow mornings in the villa, a floating breakfast, a private tour of the rice terraces and Tirta Empul, and a couples' massage. One evening for the Kecak or Legong dance at the Ubud palace.

  2. 02

Nights 4 to 6: the cliffs or the beach

Move to Uluwatu or Seminyak. Sunset at Uluwatu temple, a dinner on the sand at Jimbaran, and a day with nothing planned. Add a sunset cruise or a Lembongan day on the water if you want one outing.

Couples comparing island trips often look at Bali against the Maldives. The Maldives is one resort, little driving and pure rest; see our Maldives packages. Bali is two or three bases with sightseeing and a lower price per night. Many couples add Singapore for two nights on the way. For more ideas across both, see our honeymoon packages.

Families travel well in Bali too. Choose Nusa Dua or Sanur, where the sea is calmer and resorts have kids' clubs, and keep long drives to one or two days. Bali Safari and Marine Park and the water sports at Tanjung Benoa suit children; Nusa Penida is better left for older children.

Entry rules and tourist levy

Most visitors to Bali need an Indonesian visa on arrival, bought either at the airport or online in advance as an e-VOA. A few nationalities enter visa-free, and some must apply for a visa before flying.

Getting there: flights from Abu Dhabi to Bali

Bali's airport is Ngurah Rai International (DPS) in Denpasar, close to Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua. A one-stop journey takes most of a day, so we look for a connection of two to four hours rather than the lowest fare with a long wait.

  • Low-cost legs may exclude checked baggage and meals; we price both before you compare
  1. 01

    Leaving the UAE

Check in three hours before an international flight from Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Keep your passport, residence visa, e-VOA approval and hotel bookings to hand; airlines check documents for Indonesia at the counter.

  2. 02

    The connection

On a one-stop route you usually stay airside, with time for a meal.

  3. 03

    Arriving in Bali

Immigration, the visa on arrival counter if you did not apply online, the levy check, then customs. Our driver waits outside arrivals with your name on a sign.

Hotels stay open and serve meals, and many guests enjoy the quiet night sky, but you cannot arrive, leave or tour that day. We check the date before we book a March trip.

Booking the flight inside the package usually costs less than buying it alone, and you have one contact if a schedule changes. To compare fares only, see our flight tickets from Abu Dhabi page.

Questions

Bali trip questions

The questions UAE travellers ask us most about Bali. Ask yours on WhatsApp, call 02 679 8008 or visit our travel agency in Abu Dhabi at Mushrif Mall.

Still have a question? Ask us on WhatsApp

How much does a Bali trip cost from the UAE?

Private pool villas, Nusa Penida and peak months such as July and August cost more.

How much does a 5 day Bali trip cost?

With the long flight from the UAE, five days feels short, so most travellers we book choose six or seven nights.

How much is a 1 week trip to Bali?

A private driver for the week is often good value in Bali and we can add one.

Do UAE residents need a visa for Bali?

Your passport needs six months' validity and a blank page. We confirm the rule for your passport.

Are there direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Bali?

A one-stop journey takes most of a day. We choose connections with sensible layovers and price flights inside the package.

What are the main Bali tour places to include?

For a first trip, include Ubud's rice terraces and Monkey Forest, Tanah Lot and Uluwatu temples at sunset, Mount Batur or a waterfall day, and a Nusa Penida boat trip. Beach time in Seminyak, Nusa Dua or Jimbaran rounds it off. We fit these into the itinerary by area to cut driving time.
