Spring and autumn are the busy, higher-priced seasons, along with Eid and National Day. Summer and winter are quieter and cheaper.
- Children's prices depend on age and the hotel's policy
- A private guide and car cost more but suit families and older travellers, who can set the pace

What the package includes: flights, hotels, trains and a guide
Our Uzbekistan packages are built around the train timetable, so each city gets a full day of sightseeing and you are never left waiting at a station without a driver.
Checklist
- Meet and greet at Tashkent airport and transfers to every station and hotel
- Guided city tours in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara
- English or Arabic-speaking guide, depending on the package
- Standard travel insurance on most packages
Not included unless your quote says so:
- Visa fees, for the nationalities that need one
- Lunches and dinners, except where the plan lists a meal
- Early check-in and late check-out
- Tips for guides and drivers, and personal spending
Uzbekistan uses the som. Cards work in larger hotels and city restaurants, but bazaars, taxis in the old cities and small cafes often want cash. Change a small amount at the airport or a bank. Uzbek food suits most UAE travellers: plov (rice with lamb and carrots), samsa pastries, grilled shashlik and fresh bread, and almost all of it is halal.

5 nights: Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, day by day
This is the classic first trip. It spends three nights in Tashkent, so the start and end of the holiday are easy, and one night each in Samarkand and Bukhara.

- 01
Day 1: Arrive in Tashkent
Our representative and your driver meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. In the evening, Magic City, a park of lit-up streets, fountains and cafes, is an easy first outing.
- 02
Day 2: Tashkent old and new
The Khast Imam complex with its madrasas and the library that holds one of the oldest Qurans in the world. Then the domed Chorsu Bazaar for spices, dried fruit and nuts. After lunch, the new city: Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, the Minor Mosque and a ride on the decorated Tashkent metro.
- 03
Day 3: Fast train to Samarkand
An early transfer to the station for the train to Samarkand, about two hours. Your guide meets you on arrival for Gur-e-Amir, the tomb of Amir Temur, then Registan Square with its three madrasas. In the late afternoon, the Shah-i-Zinda street of tiled tombs. Overnight in Samarkand.
- 04
Day 4: Train to Bukhara
A morning train of about an hour and a half to Bukhara. See the Samanid Mausoleum, the Bolo Hauz Mosque and the Ark fortress, then after lunch the Poi Kalon square with the Kalon Minaret, the Kalon Mosque and the Miri Arab Madrasa. End the day by the pool at Lyabi Hauz. Overnight in Bukhara.
- 05
Day 5: Bukhara morning, train to Tashkent
A free morning for the covered trading domes, where craftsmen sell carpets, embroidery, ceramics and knives.
- 06
Day 6: Fly home
Breakfast, check-out and transfer to Tashkent airport for your flight back to the UAE.
Only four nights? Skip Bukhara and spend two nights in Tashkent and two in Samarkand. Seven nights? Add a day trip to the Chimgan mountains and Charvak Lake from Tashkent, about 80 to 90 km by road, with a cable car to the top for views over the Tian Shan foothills. In Samarkand you can also add the Ulugbek Observatory, the Siyob Bazaar and the paper workshop at Konigil village, where paper is still made from mulberry bark.

You need your passport to board, so keep it with you rather than in a suitcase in the luggage rack.
- Allow 30 to 40 minutes at the station for security and ticket checks
- Large suitcases fit at the end of each carriage; a soft bag is easier
- Snacks and drinks are usually sold on board, but carry water
- Our driver meets you on the platform or at the station exit in each city

Spring and autumn are the most comfortable months for walking around Samarkand and Bukhara, and the busiest. In summer we start tours early and keep the middle of the day for lunch and rest. Winter is cold, but the tiled monuments look striking in low sun, and the crowds disappear.
Checklist
- Comfortable walking shoes: you see the old cities on foot, over stone and uneven paths
- Modest clothing for mosques and madrasas; women carry a scarf
- Sun hat and sun cream from April to October
- A warm jacket, hat and gloves from November to March

Uzbekistan with Kazakhstan in one trip
Tashkent and Almaty are neighbours, so the Silk Road cities and the mountains of Kazakhstan combine well in 8 to 10 nights. Fly home from Almaty so you do not double back.
Each country has its own entry rules, so we check both for every passport. See our Kazakhstan tour package from the UAE for the Almaty side. If you prefer mountains closer to Europe, our Georgia packages from the UAE and Azerbaijan tour package are a similar flight time.

Questions
Uzbekistan tour package FAQs
The questions UAE travellers ask us most about Uzbekistan. Ask yours on WhatsApp or call 02 679 8008.
Do UAE residents need a visa for Uzbekistan?
Send us your passport copy and we confirm in one reply whether you need anything before you fly, and apply for the e-visa if you do.
How many days are enough for Uzbekistan?
Five nights covers Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara at a comfortable pace, using the fast train between them. Four nights works if you skip Bukhara. Seven nights lets you add Khiva or combine the trip with Almaty in Kazakhstan.
How long is the flight from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent?
That makes it a realistic long-weekend trip, similar to Georgia or Azerbaijan, and short enough for families with young children.
What is the best month to visit Uzbekistan?
April to early June and September to October are the most comfortable months, with mild days for walking around Samarkand and Bukhara. Summer is very hot in the cities, and winter is cold but quiet and cheaper. We suggest dates around your UAE holidays.
How much does an Uzbekistan package from Dubai cost?
Prices depend on the month, hotel category and whether flights are included. We send the full breakdown on WhatsApp before you pay.
