Short breaks of 3 to 5 nights vs longer trips

Most trips from the UAE fall into two groups. Short breaks of three to five nights go to places a few hours away, so you lose little time in the air and can travel on a weekend plus one or two days of leave. Longer trips of a week or more make sense when the flight is long, the country is big, or you want two or three stops.

What a Happy Journey package includes

A standard package covers the parts of a trip that are hardest to book well on your own. Every quote lists what is in and what is out, line by line, so there is nothing to discover at the airport.

Checklist

  • Return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, economy class unless you ask otherwise
  • Hotel nights in the grade you choose, usually with breakfast
  • Airport transfers at both ends
  • The sightseeing tours named in the itinerary, with a driver or guide
  • A day-by-day plan and a document checklist before you fly

Usually not included, unless your quote says so:

  • Visa fees, which we can add once we know your passport
  • Travel insurance, which we can add at booking
  • Lunches and dinners outside the meal plan
  • Entry tickets for optional activities, tips and personal spending
  • Extra baggage beyond the airline allowance

Entry rules depend on your nationality and, for some countries, on your UAE residence visa. The same trip can be visa-free for one traveller and need an e-visa for the person next to them. That is why we ask for a photo of each passport before we quote.

Group tours: fixed departures and private groups

Group tours are one of our package types, in two forms. Fixed departures leave on set dates with other travellers from the UAE, at one price per person. Private groups are built for your own family, friends or colleagues, on your dates.

Documents to bring when you book

You can book on WhatsApp with photos, or bring originals to Mushrif Mall. To hold flights and start any visa, we need:

Where can I find cheap holiday packages from Abu Dhabi?

The lowest-priced packages from Abu Dhabi are usually short trips to Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, booked outside school holidays. Prices rise quickly around Eid, National Day and the winter break.

What is included in a Happy Journey holiday package?

A standard package includes return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, hotel nights with breakfast, airport transfers and the sightseeing tours listed in the itinerary. Visa handling and travel insurance can be added. Every quote lists inclusions and exclusions line by line, so you can see exactly what you are paying for before booking.

Which holiday destinations are easy for UAE residents to visit?

Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Maldives and Thailand are popular because many UAE residents can enter on arrival or with a quick e-visa. Europe and the UK need a visa in advance.

Can you customise a holiday package?

Yes. Every package can be changed: dates, hotel grade, number of nights, flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, and which tours you keep or drop.

How far ahead should I book a holiday package from the UAE?

Book four to eight weeks ahead for most trips, and earlier for Eid, National Day and December, when flights from the UAE fill fast. Last-minute deals do appear for short-haul trips.

Do you run group tours from the UAE?

Yes. Groups get one price per person, one consultant and a tour leader on larger trips.

Do holiday packages cost the same from Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

The package price is the same at both branches. Flights can differ: some trips are cheaper from Dubai International, others from Zayed International in Abu Dhabi. We quote both airports when it makes a real difference to your fare.
