Georgia package prices from the UAE
Georgia suits UAE residents who want a short break with mountains, cool air and easy food. The price comes down to four things: the number of nights, the hotel grade, a shared group tour or a private car and driver, and the travel month. The table shows starting prices per person, sharing a double room, with return flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Group tours mean you join other travellers in a coach or minibus on the touring days, on a set route. A private car means your own driver and vehicle, so you choose when to leave, where to stop and how long to stay. Families with small children and groups of four or more often find the private car is worth the difference, because one vehicle is shared across everyone.

Prices move with the calendar. The December break, National Day, New Year and Eid are the busiest times for flights from the UAE to Tbilisi, and fares rise early. Late spring and early autumn are usually quieter and better value. If you are flexible, look at the cheapest tour packages this month before you settle on dates.
A package often costs less than booking the same flight and hotel apart, because we buy hotel nights and transfers in bulk. We quote from both Zayed International and Dubai International when the fare difference is worth the drive.
- Flight times: an early arrival in Tbilisi gives you an extra half day; a late departure saves a hotel night but means a tired flight home
- Hotel location: a hotel in or near the old town costs a little more but saves taxis every evening
- Room type: family rooms and connecting rooms sell out first over the winter break
- Children's prices depend on age, the airline's child fare and the hotel's child policy
02
What the Georgia package includes
A standard Georgia package handles the things that make or break a trip: flights that land at a sensible hour, a central hotel, a driver who knows the mountain road, and a plan for each day.
Checklist
- Hotel nights in the grade you choose, with breakfast
- Airport pickup and drop-off in Tbilisi
- Tbilisi city tour with the old town and the Narikala cable car
- Day trip to Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery
- Mountain day on the road to Kazbegi, with Ananuri and Gudauri on the way
- A day-by-day plan and a document checklist before you fly
Not included unless your quote says so:
- Georgia e-visa fee, for the nationalities that need one
- Travel insurance (we can add it at booking)
- Lunches and dinners
- Ski hire, lift passes, paragliding and other optional activities in Gudauri
- Extra baggage, tips and personal spending
Georgia uses the lari. Cards are widely taken in Tbilisi and Batumi hotels, restaurants and shops, but carry some cash for village stalls, mountain cafes and the toilets at viewpoints.

5-night itinerary: Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Gudauri and Mtskheta
This plan suits a first visit. It keeps you in one Tbilisi hotel for most nights, puts the long mountain drive in the middle of the trip when you are rested, and leaves one flexible day. In winter we can move the mountain days to match the weather forecast.

- 01
Day 1: Arrive in Tbilisi
Pickup at Tbilisi airport and transfer to your hotel. If you land in daylight, walk through the old town: the sulphur bath domes of Abanotubani, the narrow lanes with carved wooden balconies, and the Peace Bridge over the Mtkvari river. Dinner at a Georgian restaurant, where khachapuri (cheese bread) and khinkali (dumplings) are the dishes to try.
- 02
Day 2: Tbilisi city tour and the cable car
A guided morning in the old town and Rike Park, then the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for the view over the city and the Mother of Georgia statue. The afternoon is free for Rustaveli Avenue, the Dry Bridge market or a private room at the sulphur baths.
- 03
Day 3: Mtskheta, Jvari and Ananuri to Gudauri
Drive to Mtskheta, the old capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site, to see Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, then up to Jvari Monastery above the meeting of two rivers. Continue north on the Georgian Military Highway past Ananuri fortress on the Zhinvali reservoir to Gudauri. Stay the night in Gudauri, or return to Tbilisi if you prefer one hotel.
- 04
Day 4: Kazbegi and Gergeti Trinity Church
Over the Jvari Pass to the town of Stepantsminda, still called Kazbegi by most visitors. A 4x4 takes you up to Gergeti Trinity Church, with Mount Kazbek behind it on a clear day. Stop at the Friendship Monument viewpoint near Gudauri on the way back. In snow season this is the day for sledging, a snowmobile ride or a ski lesson. Return to Tbilisi in the evening.
- 05
Day 5: Kakheti wine region or a free day
Choose a full-day trip east to Kakheti: the hilltop town of Sighnaghi, Bodbe Monastery and a family winery with lunch (grape juice and fruit tastings are easy to arrange instead of wine). Or keep the day free for shopping, the Dezerter Bazaar, the Botanical Garden or a slow last lunch in the old town.
- 06
Day 6: Fly home
Breakfast, check-out and transfer to Tbilisi airport for your flight back to Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
For four nights, we drop the Kakheti day. For six or seven nights, we add Batumi or a second mountain region, described below. The mountain road above Gudauri can close for a few hours or days after heavy snow, so we keep the Kazbegi day flexible in winter and switch it with Kakheti if needed.
Free time in Tbilisi? Good ways to fill it: the Holy Trinity (Sameba) Cathedral, the Georgian National Museum on Rustaveli Avenue, the Chronicles of Georgia monument above the Tbilisi Sea, the funicular to Mtatsminda for the evening view, and the Fabrika area for cafes. Most are a short taxi ride from the old town.
Short on leave? A 4-night winter version keeps the snow and drops the extras:
- 01
Day 1: Tbilisi
Arrive, check in, evening walk in the old town.
- 02
Day 2: Tbilisi and Mtskheta
Morning city tour and cable car, afternoon at Mtskheta and Jvari.
- 03
Day 3: Gudauri snow day
Early start up the Georgian Military Highway via Ananuri. A full day of skiing, sledging or snowmobiles, back to Tbilisi in the evening or a night in Gudauri.
- 04
Day 4: Kazbegi or a free day
Gergeti Trinity Church if the road is open; if not, a free day in Tbilisi or a trip to Kakheti.
- 05
Day 5: Fly home
Transfer to the airport.
Longer trip? Here is how a 7-night version with the Black Sea usually runs. It suits summer, when Batumi is warm and the mountain roads are fully open.
- 01
Days 1 and 2: Tbilisi
Arrival, the old town, the cable car to Narikala and an evening on the riverside.
- 02
Day 3: Mtskheta and Jvari
A half day at the old capital, then back to Tbilisi for a free afternoon.
- 03
Day 4: Kazbegi
The Georgian Military Highway via Ananuri and Gudauri to Gergeti Trinity Church, with green valleys and waterfalls along the road in summer.
- 04
Day 5: To Batumi
Train, road or a short flight west to the Black Sea. Evening on the Batumi boulevard.
- 05
Day 6: Batumi
Botanical Garden, the cable car above the city, the old town squares and a beach afternoon.
- 06
Day 7: Free day in Batumi
Beach, shopping or a trip into the green hills of Adjara for waterfalls and mountain villages.
04
Adding Batumi, Kakheti or Armenia
Once you have seen Tbilisi and the mountains, Georgia has three easy additions. Each one changes the feel of the trip, so pick by season and by who is travelling.

Batumi, 2 nights
The Black Sea city in the west, warmest and busiest from June to September. A seaside boulevard, the Botanical Garden, the Ali and Nino moving statue and an easy beach day.

Kakheti, overnight
Turn the Kakheti day trip into a night in Sighnaghi or Telavi for a slower pace, vineyard views and a cooking class. Good for couples and for autumn harvest season.

Armenia, 2 to 3 nights
Cross the land border by road to Yerevan, then see Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery and Lake Sevan.
Want to see a third Caucasus country? Azerbaijan does not share an open border with Armenia, but it does with Georgia, so a Baku and Tbilisi combination works well. See our Azerbaijan tour package for the Baku side. If you prefer old Silk Road cities to mountains, our uzbekistan tour package is a similar flight length from the UAE.

Visa and entry rules for UAE residents
Georgia's entry rules depend on your nationality, and for some passports on holding a valid UAE residence visa. Many UAE residents can enter without applying in advance. Others need a Georgia e-visa approved before they fly. The rules change from time to time, so we check every passport in your group before we book flights.

Apply at least two to three weeks before travel, more before the December break.
Georgia is one of several easy trips for many passports. For the full list, see our guide to visa-free countries for UAE residents.
Three situations cause most entry problems for UAE residents. Second, a new passport without the residence visa linked to it yet: bring both passports. Third, mixed groups: a family can hold three different passports with three different rules, so we check each person, including children.
06
Georgia for families and couples
Georgia works for both, but they want different things from the same country.
Families like the short flight, the short drives between sights and the snow. Children usually love the cable car in Tbilisi and a day of sledging at Gudauri more than any monument. Book a family room or two connecting rooms, keep the long mountain day to one, and choose a private car so you can stop when someone needs a break. For more trips planned around children and school breaks, see our family tours from Abu Dhabi.
A family day in Georgia goes more smoothly with one main sight in the morning, lunch, and a lighter afternoon. Keep the Kazbegi day for when everyone has slept well; it is the longest drive of the trip.
Couples tend to prefer a boutique hotel in the old town, a night in Kakheti among the vineyards and a slower day in Kazbegi with time at the top. A private car and driver makes the biggest difference here. We can add a dinner with a view, a private sulphur bath room and a late check-out on request.
- A couples' 5-night plan: 3 nights in an old town hotel in Tbilisi, 1 night in Kazbegi with a mountain view, 1 night in Sighnaghi in Kakheti
- In winter, swap Kazbegi for a night in Gudauri and a morning ski lesson for two
- In summer, add 2 nights in Batumi for the sea
Checklist
- Child seats: ask when you book, so the car comes fitted
- Pushchairs: fine in central Tbilisi and Batumi, hard on the cobbled lanes and at Gergeti
- Altitude: Gudauri and Kazbegi are high; take it easy on the first walk
07

Summer is a cool escape from UAE heat, and Batumi adds a beach. For other cool places in July and August, see our summer holiday packages from uae. In winter, pack proper boots and layers: Gudauri is well below freezing on most days, and the mountain road may close for a time after heavy snow.
A few things to know about the snow season. Gudauri is the main ski resort on the Kazbegi road, with ski schools, equipment hire and gentle slopes near the hotels. January and February usually have the most reliable snow. In December, snow is likely but less certain, so we plan a backup day in Tbilisi or Kakheti.
UAE school breaks drive demand. Book four to eight weeks ahead for these dates, and earlier for National Day and New Year.
08
Travel insurance and documents
Buy travel insurance for Georgia before you fly. Medical treatment is paid by the visitor, the mountain road can close and delay a flight home, and many winter visitors try skiing or snowmobiles for the first time. We can add travel insurance for your trip to the package, with medical, delay and winter sports cover where needed.
Checklist
- Valid UAE residence visa (it should not expire during the trip)
- Georgia e-visa approval, if your nationality needs one
- Return ticket and hotel confirmations
- Travel insurance certificate
- Some cash in lari or US dollars for small purchases
What to pack depends on the month. In winter: a warm waterproof jacket, gloves, a hat, thermal layers and boots with grip, since Tbilisi's old town is steep and icy in places and Gudauri is far colder than the city. In summer: light clothes for Tbilisi and Batumi, plus a fleece for Kazbegi, where evenings are cool even in August. All year: comfortable walking shoes, a power adapter for European two-pin sockets, and a scarf for women visiting churches, where covered shoulders and heads are expected.

Questions
Georgia trip questions
The questions UAE travellers ask us most about Georgia. Ask yours on WhatsApp, call 02 679 8008 or visit our travel agency in Abu Dhabi at Mushrif Mall.
Can UAE residents get a Georgia visa on arrival?
Many UAE residents can enter Georgia without applying in advance, either visa-free or on arrival, depending on nationality and residence permit validity. We check your passport before you pay.
How much is the Georgia visa on arrival fee for UAE residents?
Send your passport and residence visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm which applies before you book flights.
How much does a Georgia trip cost from the UAE?
Five-night trips with Batumi, 4-star hotels or a private driver cost more. School holidays and Eid push prices up.
What are the travel requirements for Georgia from the UAE?
Some nationalities also need an e-visa. We send a checklist with your booking so nothing is missed.
Are there cheap flights from Abu Dhabi to Georgia?
Yes. Booking the flight inside a package often costs less than buying flights and hotels separately.
Do I need travel insurance for Georgia from the UAE?
Yes, buy travel insurance before you fly to Georgia. Medical treatment is paid upfront there, and mountain roads to Kazbegi and Gudauri close in snow, which can delay flights home.
